THE IVANOVO REGION Geographical Information: Ivanovo Town Hall consists in 13 villages from which two of them were assembled together (Svalenik and Terovet). Archaeological Reservations: „The Ivanovo Monastery” and the “Cerven Medieval Town”. Museum Collections: “Svetlostrui” in the Straklevo Village and the „Peasant Uprising from 1900” in the Trastenik Village. Architectural monuments of local significance: 30 monasteries, churches and buildings. Other historical monuments: over 100 monasteries, churches, tombs, monuments from the Russian -Turkish War 1877-1878. Economical Information: Agriculture: 20% local participation in the agriculture sector consisting in partnerships and private businesses. The agricultural products from this area are: wheat, corn, sun-flower, grapes, cherries and peaches. An important name in the local production of cereal is Pretiz – Agro. Industry: Ø „Pretiz –Inter Holding” SRL, Ivanovo, the main producer of semi-fabricated welding structures; Ø “Crasen-Koop” SRL – producing and canning vegetables; Ø “DIN-PIRGOS” Pirgovo – furniture and wood processing; Ø „Roial Koibas”- meat processing; Ø “Hiltan” – producing stockings; Ø “Pravda” Cooperative – dairy products; Ø „Mecka” – Fish Production; Ø „Ivalina” Tankova - wineyards related products; Ø „Ivanovo Autotransport”-transport.

The Tenovo Town Hall includes nine villages: Tenovo, Dolna-Studena, Karamanovo, Novgrad, Krivina, Beltov,Piperkovo,Dguliunita and Belianovo which are spread on 249,7 square kilometers. The Villages Karamanovo, Novgrad and Tenovo are concentrating a high number of inhabitants from the 7500 Tenovo Region. Mostly in agricultural areas, the land is owned by cooperatives and private businesses and is cultivated with wheat, corn and other cereals. Other activities in the area are fishing and bee stocking. The industrial activities are very weak consisting mostly in bread, furniture and clothes production and construction. Tenovo Town Hall has 8 elementary schools and one primary school, 8 cinema halls, 8 culture houses, 9 libraries, one museum, one small health clinic and 2 health centres. In the Krivina Village can be found a roman fort – Iatrus, part of the roman defence system across the Danube.
